Canoeing
Canoeing is a great fun activity that encompasses many aspects of canoe sport, beach games and pier jumping, and we might even have a belly flop competition at the end! The session can be used as part of an educational programme and is even on the national curriculum for P.E. Paddling skills can be taught to high levels and certificates can also be awarded.
We can run canoe session at different locations around the Mournes such as Carlingford lough, Castlewellen lake, Albert basin – Newry Canal. all fantastic locations with amazing scenery.
A great activity for all types of groups from family, school, youth and sports groups. We can also do canoeing for corporate team building days.

Join us on the amazing Carlingford Lough for an unforgetable Kayak sunset session under Rostrevors Ancient Oak Wood.
Each week during the summer months June, July and August we run kayak sunset sessions on the amazing Carlingford Lough. It is run from Rostrevor slipway behind the Pier,
The sunset sessions will be run every Monday and Wednesday evening 6pm – 8pm (weather dependant) and will be £17pp. The price includes hire of all equipment (kayak and paddle, wetsuit, buoyancy aid). To help speed things up if you can arrive wearing your swimwear under your clothes to allow quicker changing time so you get more time out on the water. follow the link below for your next adventure!!

We encourage people to walk down to the slipway as parking is extremely limited so to try and reduce your carbon footprint, leave the car at home and enjoy the stroll OR if you park in Kilbroney Park at the forestry building (red building on the right hand side as you dive up into the park) it is only a 4 minute walk down to the slipway.
Each session will be run by fully Qualified staff and we will also have a safety boat on the water for each session. Ages from 8+ under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.
